Sharing the IUA Experience
Given the existing uncertain situation around COVID-19, the EMPOWER Program Committee is of the opinion that it may be difficult to organize a physical/hybrid conference even during February 2021, as was notified earlier. The Program Committee has, therefore, decided to postpone the conference to 28th-30th October 2021 while retaining IIIT Bangalore as the host institute for EMPOWER 2021. The Call for participation for various tracks will also be announced here end of FEBRUARY 2021. Inconvenience caused to our participants and other stakeholders due to this rescheduling is regretted.

for the 3rd EMPOWER Assistive Technology Conference is to be in 28 to 30 OCTOBER 2021 at the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B), India.Please follow the details on empower2021.iiitb.ac.in.
EMPOWER 2020-21 will bring together stakeholders in the AT sector, including researchers, practitioners in the government and industry, people with disabilities, disabled persons organizations, special educators, inclusive designers, entrepreneurs, impact investors as well as policymakers engaged in different ways with issues involved in the creation, production and dissemination of AT solutions.
Continuing on the success of the previous two editions , EMPOWER 2020-21 is expected to see an active participation of the aforesaid stakeholders, not only to discuss existing solutions but also to brainstorm and seed ideas for future solutions in the AT space, especially from the perspective of the emerging challenges in the Global South.
